Petition
Create a moment of national remembrance of D-Day
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
To mark D-Day with a national moment of remembrance every year on 6th June with a minute’s silence at 11am
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government has no responsibility for such minutes' silence. These are often promoted by private bodes or charities and sometimes become part of a society's cultural memory.
