What the petition asks
Require medium and large companies to pay a levy on long-running or repeatedly reposted job adverts, report vacancy outcomes, investigate misleading recruitment practices, discourage repeated hire-and-fire cycles, and reward youth hiring and worker redeployment.
Require medium and large companies to pay a levy on vacancies advertised for more than three months without being filled and on repeatedly reposted positions. Require employers to report whether vacancies were filled, withdrawn or remain active. Investigate verified complaints about misleading recruitment practices and introduce measures discouraging repeated hire-and-fire cycles, while providing incentives for employers who redeploy workers into new jobs or hire people aged 18–25.
