Petition

4 Day School Week for all Scondary Schools in the UK

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

Decrease the amount of school days for secondary schools across the UK from 5 days a week to 4 days a week. This will lengthen the 4 days from 6 hours to 6 and a half hours which will reach the government regulations and will make up for a third of the day off and will give students 3 days to rest.
This petition proposes four-day secondary school week of 6 hours and 30 minutes per day to combat student burnout and stress by providing a consistent three-day weekend. The total weekly school time would drop from the current 32.5-hour expectation down to 26 hours. This will increase engagement in learning and boost morale for students.
