Fund a national support scheme for registered animal rescue organisations

What the petition asks
Fund a national support scheme for registered animal rescue organisations, including those dedicated to helping cats. The scheme should include grant funding, assistance with veterinary costs, tax relief measures, and stronger partnerships between local authorities and rescue organisations.
Many rescue organisations are operating beyond capacity, face rising vet costs, and face high numbers of animals needing help.
We believe the Government has not fully recognised the scale of this crisis. We feel the situation affecting cats has become increasingly severe, with rescues reporting unprecedented numbers of abandoned, stray and unwanted cats. Many rescue spaces are full and waiting lists grow. If it weren’t for the dedication of many rescue organisations, many sick & vulnerable animals would be left on the street to suffer and die.
