Require Clear Suicide Method Warnings on Television and Streaming Programs

Current content warnings for suicide are too general to help viewers make informed decisions. A warning that states “suicide themes” does not indicate whether an episode contains a discussion, an implied death, or a graphic visual depiction of a specific method. For people affected by bereavement or trauma, certain depictions can be particularly distressing. Requiring broadcasters / streaming services to provide clear, specific warnings would allow viewers to prepare themselves, avoid triggering content, and make informed choices without restricting creative freedom.
