STOP UK SOCIAL MEDIA BAN

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

In my opinion, the UK government should not go any further with the social media ban for under 16s. Yes some children do have a social media addiction and that may be an issue but that should be for parents to solve. If 16+ is old enough to vote and join the army, we should be aloud social media.
Don’t get me wrong, I agree that social media is an issue for some people but that should be up to parents/carers to solve for they’re own children. This shouldn’t mean we get our right to have social media taken off us. If 16+ is old enough to join the army and legally vote, we should be old enough to have social media especially as young adults.
