Provide patients with complex medical histories 1-2 fixed GPs.

What the petition asks
We want the government to mandate that GP surgeries assign and guarantee a designated team of no more than two specific GPs to any patient diagnosed with complex, chronic, or multi-system medical history.
Currently, the NHS GP system frequently operates on “any available GP” basis. For patients with complex, rare, or multi medical conditions, this lacks continuity causing confusion and lack of understanding/knowledge and can be dangerous.
Every appointment with a new GP requires the patient to spend time re-explaining a lifetime of complex medical history, often resulting in:
Fragmented care
Patient burnout
Inefficiency
We understand the pressure GPs face but this will keep the patients safe.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We are unclear about what action you are seeking as a patient can already request a named GP: https://www.bma.org.uk/advice-and-support/gp-practices/managing-your-practice-list/requirement-for-all-patients-to-have-a-named-gp
