What the petition asks

I am starting this petition to call for the age of routine breast cancer screening (mammograms) to be lowered from the current starting age of 50.

I am 33 years old and have recently been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.

Many people assume breast cancer only affects older women, but younger adults can and do develop breast cancer. Triple-negative breast cancer, in particular, is often diagnosed at younger ages and can be more aggressive than other types of breast cancer.
This petition is not just about my story. It is about raising awareness that breast cancer does not always wait until age 50. Earlier detection gives people more treatment options, better outcomes, and a greater chance of survival.
