Require over 65s to retake the hazard perception test every five years

What the petition asks
I would ask the UK Government to require driving license holders, upon reaching 65 years old, to retake the hazard perception section of the driving theory test. They would then continue to be re-tested every 5 years.
Some previous proposals can be seen as a bit much, and slightly discriminatory. However, the hazard perception section of the driving theory test is the best and most simple way to ascertain if a driver should be on the road.
If someone is incapable of reacting to hazards on the road, they are a danger to everyone, from drivers to cyclists and pedestrians. I believe this simple change would have a larger impact on the safety of all of us. Thank you for reading this.
