What the petition asks
There is currently no active regulation which mandates air conditioning in all UK nurseries, nor is there a legal requirement for early years providers to install AC.
The Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations 1992 does not specify a maximum temperature for work settings either.
The Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations 1992 does not specify a maximum temperature for work settings either.
We want the government to make it law that air conditioning must be installed in all nurseries and school settings. With climate change and temperatures increasing, we feel we need to ensure our young children are not left in uncomfortable, hot rooms.
