What the petition asks
Call an immediate General Election
This Government has no excuse to continue without requesting the consent of the people. Both the Government and the country have seen a spiralling crisis of chaos over the last two years despite being elected with a massive majority in the House of Commons. The resignation of the Prime Minister today confirms that mandate has been broken beyond repair. Without a new election there can be no legitimacy to the remaining tenure of this Labour Government.
