Petition

The British people - not the Labour Party - must decide who governs this country

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Call a General Election following the resignation of Prime Minister Keir Starmer
Starmer resigned on 22 June 2026, less than two years into Labour's mandate.

His likely successor, Andy Burnham, was not elected at the 2024 General Election and has never put his policies to the British people. A Prime Minister without a public mandate lacks all democratic legitimacy.

The public — not the Labour Party — should decide who governs this country.

The next scheduled election is three years away. The public cannot wait that long. The Great British public demand an Election now.
