Review UK naturalisation requirements & fees for settled residents

What the petition asks
Review naturalisation fees and requirements, such as the Life in the UK test, for settled residents who may have arrived in the UK as children and have lived, worked, and paid tax in the UK.
Many long-term residents arrived in the UK as children, were educated here, have worked, paid taxes and contributed to society for decades. Despite this, many must pay substantial naturalisation fees and pass the Life in the UK test to become British citizens. We call on the Government to launch a review into this, including looking into reducing fees, creating exemptions or a streamlined route to citizenship for those who have spent most of their lives in the UK.
