Petition

Mandate and Fund Air Conditioning (AC) in Schools and Nurseries

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Mandate and provide dedicated funding for all schools and nurseries to install air conditioning and climate-control systems, ensuring educational settings remain safe and operational during periods of extreme heat.
Rising temperatures and heatwaves are forcing schools and nurseries to close due to safety concerns. Inadequate infrastructure traps heat, creating dangerously high temperatures, putting children and staff at risk of heat exhaustion, disrupting learning, and forcing parents to take emergency leave. This is unsustainable. We urge the government to allocate funding for schools and nurseries to install adequate cooling systems, protecting and preserving our children’s health and education.
