Petition

Cease plans for the Linton On Ouse Immigration Centre

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

We urge the Government to permanently abandon plans to convert the former RAF Linton-on-Ouse base into an asylum centre. Proven unviable in 2022, the site is now even more unsuitable due to further infrastructure decay, reduced amenities and lack of consultation.
Stop the asylum centre at RAF Linton-on-Ouse. The site is wrong: it’s rural, isolated, and lacks the infrastructure to support 1,500 people. Utility networks fail, transport is non-existent, amenities are limited. Crucially, the site is situated in the centre of the village and is insecure posing severe safeguarding risks. We have seen no consultation with local services and no risk assessments. This failed plan is fiscally irresponsible and unsafe for residents and asylum seekers alike.

Why it was rejected
