Hold a public referendum on whether to hold an early general election

What the petition asks
Call an immediate referendum to allow the public to decide whether there should be an early general election.
We believe adaptability is the reasons humans thrive while our democratic systems still seem prehistoric, being designed for a pre-digital era which treats delay as a solution. We believe the NHS, Parliament, and regulatory bodies are choking on backlogs they created. The Fixed Term Parliaments Act has now been repealed — there is no legal barrier to an early election, only political convenience.
