Mandate clear labelling of recipe/size changes in food products

What the petition asks
Introduce a statutory requirement for clear labelling advising a purchaser when companies change the size or formulation of a product: e.g. "Size reduced by 30g" or "Beef content reduced by 15%". We believe this will allow shoppers to make better choices.
We feel that UK shoppers in supermarkets are consistently being hammered by inflation, shrinkflation, and skimpflation. Prices, sizes, and formulation of products can change with little or no clear labelling to notify consumers. I would like to place requirements on companies to inform us of these changes, so we are able to make better choices regarding what we purchase and how much we are getting for our money.
