Petition

Urge the UK Government to support human rights in Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We ask the UK Government to use its diplomatic influence to protect human rights in Azad Jammu and Kashmir by urging an end to violence, supporting an independent investigation into alleged violations, ensuring humanitarian access, and promoting peaceful dialogue and accountability.
We are concerned by reports of alleged human rights violations in Pakistan-administered Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), including deaths, arbitrary detentions, restrictions on peaceful assembly, communications blackouts and limited humanitarian access. The UK is home to a large British Kashmiri community. We ask the UK Government to use its diplomatic influence to support an independent investigation, humanitarian access and the protection of fundamental human rights.
