Change waste classification laws so pet ashes can be buried with owners

What the petition asks
We want the Government to change the law to permit pet ashes in human graves by ending their classification as waste so that families can be buried with their beloved pets.
I am petitioning the Government to amend the law so cremated pet remains can be interred with their owner when families choose. Many people see pets as family, and being buried together can bring comfort and reflect that bond. Current rules can block this or treat pet ashes as waste. We believe a clear legal change, subject to cemetery consent and health and safety rules, would respect personal wishes, support bereaved families, and allow dignified, lawful burial.
