What the petition asks

I want the UK Government to look at re-opening the East Lincolnshire Railway from Louth to Firsby in order to reconnect the town of Louth which is the largest town in Lincolnshire without a railway station to the national rail network at Firsby.

East Lincolnshire NEEDS to be re-railed!

The East Lincolnshire Railway was a railway line which formerly ran from Grimsby via Louth and south to Boston, Spalding, and onto Peterborough.
Eastern Lincolnshire needs to be reconnected back up to the mainline at Peterborough to enable a direct service to London, especially for commuters for work, leisure, etc.
As the line travelled south to Boston it also passed through the communities of Alford and Firsby. Louth is a large town in East Lincolnshire which needs its railway line back!

Why it was rejected

It was about a matter for a local council or devolved government, not the UK Government or Parliament.

We can’t accept petitions that call for action at a local level.
