Petition

TIME FOR CHANGE - AT FIFA

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

The Government should encourage the Football Association to work with like‑minded national associations to pursue action aimed at reforming FIFA’s leadership and governance. This should include supporting changes in senior FIFA leadership aimed at restoring global confidence in football governance.
The 2026 World Cup has exposed abject failures in FIFA’s leadership. Controversial decisions on match scheduling & disciplinary consistency undermined fairness and damaged the credibility of the competition. Fans, players, and national associations everywhere expressed frustration at governance that appears chaotic & inconsistent with the values of the sport. A strong stance from the Government would strengthen the FA’s mandate to push for higher standards to protect the integrity of the sport.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
