Reform Laws around Cannabis Use and Driving

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

Current drug driving laws mean a positive roadside test for cannabis will result in a 12 month ban etc even when cannabis can be found in the systemsdays after use. It’s devastating the lives of innocent users who chose to use it on a Friday night and would be banned on a Monday morning
Current drug driving laws are inadequate for cannabis use in the UK. Impairment from cannabis is barely over 4 hour mark, so it is not fair for people who choose to enjoy it on a weekend to be “ over the limit” the next week. It’s devastating for individuals who have there jobs taken away and their license when they haven’t done anything wrong or are even impaired in anyway. Please support this petition to stop cannabis users being unfairly treated and discriminated against.

Why it was rejected
