Require equal female representation in product and training design & testing

Open for signatures 47 signatures

What the petition asks

We call on the Government to legislate to require equal female representation when designing and testing products, such as safety equipment, and training, such as emergency procedures.
From seat belts (which are commonly tested on male crash dummies - women are more likely to die in a crash) to CPR training, women should have consistently equal rights.

We believe women are significantly underrepresented and in many areas of design and testing, including vehicle safety, emergency response training and protective equipment design, where standards have commonly been based on male measurements and anatomy. We want the Government to require equal representation for women to ultimately ensure the consistency of the Equality Act 2010 and ensure women are safe and protected.
