What the petition asks
Mandate that all parcel delivery companies provide recipients with GPS location recorded at delivery, time, estimated GPS accuracy & a map showing the delivery location alongside the proof-of-delivery photo. This should only be available to the intended recipient and comply with UK data protection.
Every day, thousands of consumers experience parcels being delivered to the wrong address. Courier companies often provide a photograph as proof of delivery, but this frequently fails to identify where the parcel has been left. We call on the UK Government to introduce legislation requiring :
• The GPS location at point of delivery
• The time of delivery
• The estimated accuracy of the recorded location
• A map showing the recorded delivery location alongside the delivery photograph
