Hold a referendum on making Hampshire an independent, sovereign state

What the petition asks
I call upon the UK Parliament to allow Hampshire to hold a binding independence referendum on whether Hampshire should leave the UK and become independent. I want Winchester to become the capital, and I want peace, fairness and safety for all of Hampshire.
I believe Hampshire has a strong economy, history, identity and communities, and that Hampshire’s industries, farms, ports, tourism and public services are working well for it to become independent. I believe an independent Hampshire should have a fully written constitution agreed by its residents.
I ask for Parliament to let the people of Hampshire to choose their own future and give the people of Hampshire their democratic say on what they feel is best for them.
