Petition
Let more young people get jobs
Rejected

What the petition asks
I want there to be more jobs and opportunities for young people (16-24) and I think they should take some what of a priority when looking at applications.
It’s extremely hard for 16-24 year olds to find work. They want “experienced people” yet no one will give us the experience we need to succeed. They don’t want to train us to work. Jobs pick people who they don’t need to spend time training on. It’s not fair that us young people have to suffer financially just because older people with more experience take top priority. We need to be given a chance and to be taken on by jobs.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand you are concerned about job opportunities for young people, but we are not sure what you would like the Government to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
