Fitting a speed camera on Clotherholme Road, Ripon - North Yorkshire

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

This built up area in North Yorkshire is littered with innocent children playing. It has speeders and young drivers on a daily basis driving dangerously, and with 2 schools on the road and local facilities it is an accident waiting to happen.

Please let the council fit a speed camera.
Residence in the area are witnessing constantly young drivers, driving erratically and aggressively down this 20mph road.

The area is a family neighbourhood, with many children some very young who play outside on the street like they should be able to do. It is also where the two biggest secondary schools in the area are, and there are multiple playing parks as well for kids to attend.

All of this makes speeding drivers and the children playing a ticking time bomb. A speed camera is needed.
