What the petition asks
Since December 2025, residents across Oldham have experienced near-constant road works, road closures and diversions. These disruption has affected commuters, businesses, emergency access and daily life. At a recent community meeting, it became clear that many residents share the same frustration.
The ongoing disruption has affected commuters, businesses, emergency access and daily life. At a recent community meeting, it became clear that many residents share the same frustration. We are asking Oldham Council to review how road works are planned and coordinated, provide clearer communication, and ensure multiple projects are not carried out simultaneously where avoidable. We believe residents deserve better planning and greater consideration.
