Petition

Cease early release considerations for Murder/Manslaughter of Emergency Workers

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Request the Justice System to no longer consider persons convicted of Murder or Manslaughter of Emergency Workers, for early release from prison. Those convicted of such crimes should serve the whole term handed down in judgement or appeal.
Many Emergency Workers, carrying out their duties to protect members of the public, have lost their lives due to aggressive attacks, targeted attacks or during acts of evading justice. These Workers place themselves in harms way to protect the public and those that make a decision to harm Emergency Workers, should face the full term of any imprisonment handed down. There can be no leeway for remorse when the life of an emergency worker is taken. The full term must be a protective deterent.

Why it was rejected
