Scotland Bill – Corporation Tax

The motion

As an amendment to motion S4M-00856 in the name of Fergus Ewing (Scotland Bill - Corporation Tax) leave out from " strategy" to end and insert “and in providing resources to pay for public services; notes that the Scottish Government’s own discussion paper on options for reform states that cutting corporation tax could “lead to an immediate reduction in revenues collected in Scotland” and that, if such a position was adopted, “decisions regarding budgetary priorities would be needed”, and calls on the Scottish Government to identify now which budget lines would be reduced as a result of implementing a policy to substantially reduce corporation tax levels in Scotland.”
