The motion

As an amendment to motion S1M-01868 in the name of Sarah Boyack (Rural Transport), insert at end "also recognises the significance of car transport in rural areas, and urges the Executive to pursue the options outlined in the Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Committee’s 4th Report 2001, Report on the Inquiry into Fuel Prices in Remoter Rural Areas, to acknowledge the reduction in expenditure on trunk roads construction since the mid-1990s and to ensure that greater resources are made available in coming years for spending on route action plan schemes in rural areas and local authority roads.”
