Scotland's Place in the World

As an amendment to motion S1M-02030 in the name of Mr John Swinney (Scotland's Place in the World), leave out from “welcomes” to end and insert “expresses its concern at the signing by the First Minister of the political declaration by the constitutional regions of Bavaria, Catalonia, Northrhine-Westphalia, Salzburg, Scotland, Wallonia and Flanders without prior consultation with or intimation to the Parliament; notes that the content of the declaration contradicts Her Majesty’s Government’s policy and undermines the sovereignty of the United Kingdom, and further affirms that Scotland’s position is best represented within the union that is the United Kingdom, which brings economic, social and cultural benefits to the people.”
