As an amendment to motion S2M-01638 in the name of Christine Grahame (Hidden Treasure), leave out from “, in recognition” to end and insert “thanks Mrs Althea Dundas-Bekker for her extremely generous gift to the Parliament of a lintel from the pre-1707 Parliament building; acknowledges that the architect’s plan to locate the lintel in a position where it can be seen from the public stairway at Holyrood is not entirely satisfactory; supports the decision of the Holyrood Progress Group to have it moved to a more prominent position in time for the official opening of the new building, and welcomes the new-found interest of many members in the merits of the Holyrood building.”
