North of Scotland Eating Disorder Services

That the Parliament congratulates Dr Harry Miller of Aberdeen on his appointment as lead clinician for the Managed Clinical Network for Eating Disorders, set up by the North of Scotland NHS boards to make progress on dedicated in-patient facilities for eating disorder treatment and to develop localised assessment and diagnostic services along with post-discharge community support systems; applauds the North East Eating Disorder Support Group (NEEDS), chaired by Grainne Smith, for its successful campaign to have such a service created, and calls on the Scottish Executive to support the development of similar services throughout Scotland.
