Angus Council and the A92 Road
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates SNP-controlled Angus Council, which has just successfully completed the dualling of the A92 road between Dundee and Arbroath; further congratulates Angus Council for undertaking the largest road project by local government in Scotland; commends Angus Council for keeping the road open 24/7 during construction; praises Angus Council and the contractors for completing the project seven months ahead of schedule and within budget, and welcomes the improvements in local infrastructure which will offer massive economic benefits to the local area and replace a road system where injury and accident rates were 50% higher than the national average with a modern road system offering safe and efficient driving conditions suited for the 21st century.
