More Overseas Success for Scottish Marine Renewables

That the Parliament congratulates Inverness-based company, Wavegen, on the successful development of the Limpet onshore wave energy device; welcomes the news that this pioneering technology could be installed in a harbour development in northern Spain; hopes that there will soon be significant numbers of both onshore and offshore wave energy devices commercially installed in Scottish waters, and calls on the Scottish Executive to commit greater financial resources to support the development of the Scottish marine renewable energy sector that promises so much for the Scottish economy.
