Bookstart Programme

That the Parliament recognises the importance of sharing books with children and the benefits for all of Scotland’s young children in having early and ready access to books via the Bookstart programme, which has been shown to raise parental awareness of the importance of early book sharing and believes that the benefits of packs of books delivered by Bookstart+, Treasure Chest and others should be available to every two and three-year-old in Scotland.
