The Economy of the Far North
The motion
That the Parliament notes the very real challenges presented to the north Highland economy by accelerated decommissioning at Dounreay and also notes that there is potential for using the north Highland skills pool to develop new industries, particularly in renewables and research fields, and that, accordingly, Caithness would make a most suitable location for the Energy Technology Institute being considered by the UK Government.
