Dalbeattie, Haggis Capital of Scotland

That the Parliament notes the recent success of Dalbeattie butcher Scott Carson in winning the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders Association’s Scottish Haggis Championship 2009, further notes that this is the second time running that the award has been made to a Dalbeattie butcher, and considers this to be testament to the quality of produce available in Galloway and a welcome boost for the town’s profile.
