Mr George Cairney, Clydebank Citizen of the Year

That the Parliament congratulates George Cairney, this year’s Clydebank Citizen of the Year; acknowledges, in particular, his pioneering efforts during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s to drive through a massive housing improvement project that ensured that Clydebank’s council houses had central heating and adequate roofing, and praises his outstanding contribution to his community through his work as Labour Councillor for Duntocher, Provost of Clydebank and lifelong community activist.
