East Ayrshire Schools' Spring Spectacular Concert
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the pupils from across East Ayrshire who were involved in the East Ayrshire Schools' Spring Spectacular Concert, which featured the East Ayrshire Choir, String Orchestra, Concert Band, Big Band, Pipe Band and Samba Band; thanks East Ayrshire Council staff for their dedication and hard work in ensuring that pupils are able to put on a high-quality performance; welcomes the partnership that East Ayrshire Council has developed with music professionals, including composer Bruce Frazer, John and Marcia Dirkie of Beats of Brazil and saxophonist Phil Bancroft, all of whom participated in the Spring Spectacular; notes that for the fifth consecutive year East Ayrshire has been recognised by the National Music Council of Great Britain and was awarded the Diploma of Merit at the annual National Music Council of Great Britain Local Education Authority Music Awards ceremony, and looks forward to a continuation of East Ayrshire’s Youth Music Initiative, which has offered thousands of pupils the opportunity to participate in music.
