Redburn School, Generation Green
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Redburn School in Cumbernauld on attaining its brand new solar panel system; notes that Redburn, a school for pupils with additional support needs, faced competition from over 6,000 schools across the United Kingdom to win the panels in the Scottish Gas Generation Green challenge; understands that the solar panel system will generate enough electricity for the annual consumption of a three-bedroom house and save 1,853kg of carbon; thanks Scottish Gas for its investment, and praises the pupils, teachers and parents of the school for their eco-activities.
