Celebrating 150 Issues of the Local News in Glasgow

That the Parliament congratulates the Local News Glasgow on its 150th edition; notes that it began serving Glasgow communities in 1997 as the Local News for Southsiders, expanded into the West End in 2007 and covered the whole of Glasgow in 2009; notes that the paper is a monthly freesheet and fully reliant on advertising for its income; applauds the newspaper's local community focus; agrees that local newspapers such as the Local News Glasgow are vital for accountability and transparency in our democracy, and wishes the team at the Local News Glasgow every success for the next 150 editions.
