That the Parliament condemns the arrest of 45 Zimbabweans for watching and discussing news coverage of the Egyptian revolution; understands that 39 of the 45 have been released and urges the Zimbabwean Government to release the remaining six who face charges of treason and the possibility of the death penalty; is concerned about the special relationship between the Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe, and Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi; urges Zimbabwe to join the rest of the international community and publicly denounce the atrocities of the Libyan Government, and, lastly, demands that justice should be faced by the Libyan dictatorship and that Mugabe and his administration do not interfere with this.
