40 Years of Victoria Radio Network
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kirkcaldy’s hospital radio, Victoria Radio Network (VRN), for entertaining patients, visitors and staff at Victoria Hospital for 40 years; understands that VRN was formed in February 1971 by a small group of radio enthusiasts who believed that there should be a radio station in Kirkcaldy that would act as an alternative therapy for those who were in hospital; believes that the success of VRN is a result of the determination of the volunteers at VRN, who have been nominated for three awards already in 2011, and wishes the team at VRN every success with entertaining patients, visitors and staff in the future.
