Landmark Achievement for Coca-Cola Enterprises in East Kilbride

That the Parliament welcomes news that Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd has reduced the amount of waste sent to landfill from its East Kilbride operations site from 342 tonnes in 2002 to zero in 2011; believes that investment in new eco-friendly equipment and staff training was important in reaching this landmark; commends Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd for its onsite segregation of waste into 12 distinct and manageable waste streams; understands that continuous efforts are ongoing at the site to reduce packaging and waste further, and congratulates Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd and its waste contractor, Virador, on what it considers to be a remarkable achievement.
