The motion

As an amendment to motion S4M-08769 in the name of Derek Mackay (Town Centre Action Plan), leave out from "supports" to end and insert "welcomes the work of the National Town Centre Review External Advisory Group and notes the Scottish Government response in the Town Centre Action Plan; recognises that town centres play a vital role across Scotland in terms of communities, jobs and businesses; questions the Scottish Government’s commitment to a town centre first principle and is disappointed by the lack of action on the Business Rates Incentivisation Scheme, and calls on the Scottish Government to give serious consideration to a fresh Town Centre Regeneration Fund and to implementing a relief scheme for retail properties with a rateable value of up to £50,000."
