Membership of EFTA
The motion
That the Parliament urges the Scottish Government to commence exploratory talks with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA); considers that membership of EFTA could be an alternative to EU membership and allow for free trade with the EU without having to join the eurozone or be legally bound by the centralised administration of the EU, and believes that membership would not create an obstacle to further discussion with the EU.
