Air Passenger Duty

As an amendment to motion S4M-10185 in the name of Keith Brown (Air Passenger Duty), leave out from "with concern" to end and insert “the recent changes announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, which simplify air passenger duty (APD), reduce the charge on flights to countries over 4,000 miles from the UK and cut tax for millions of passengers to and from many emerging markets; notes the findings of the Commission on the Future Governance of Scotland, which was chaired by Lord Strathclyde, regarding the devolution of APD in Scotland, and calls on the Scottish Government to find a viable alternative to the air route development fund."
