Scotland's Economy and Finances

As an amendment to motion S4M-12857 in the name of Gavin Brown (Scotland's Economy and Finances), leave out from “within the UK” to end and insert “; recognises that Scotland requires the social and economic powers necessary to reflect the needs and preferences of the people of Scotland; notes that being tied to the UK Government’s austerity plan and welfare cuts is having a disproportionate impact on the most vulnerable in society; believes in an alternative to this approach that would protect vital investment in public services and develop a fair and sustainable economy, and calls on the UK parties to set out in detail their plans for taxation and welfare ahead of the general election.”
